Our Story

The Church of the Open Bible of Greenville, Maine, began in 1969 with the help of Christ-for-the-Lumberjacks-Mission. The Church of the Open Bible is an evangelical, Bible-believing church with no denominational affiliation. The church is located on the corner of Rte. 15 and Sherwood Avenue in Greenville, Maine.

Our Mission
COB strives to reach our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Sunday message is biblical, straight-forward and easy to understand. We honor the Bible as God's inspired word to us and are committed to Christian discipleship for all believers. We eagerly engage with our community through acts of service and outreach events.


Our Style

Dress is casual, so please, come as you are.

We worship God with a mixture of contemporary praise music and traditional hymns.

We offer nursery care and Sunday School for children infants through sixth grade.
